For X release set for 8 November 2017

The Peculiar will release its first full-length album For X on November 8th, 2017. Conceived under the huge skies of Simcoe Island, near Kingston, For X combines bold, poetic lyrics with soaring electric guitar arrangements underpinned by unrelenting bass and drum rhythms. The collection’s songs form a work of textured and atmospheric soundscapes. Listen here to these early releases:

Be the first to hear “For X” live at the Peculiar’s United Way benefit concert, 8 November in Kingston

The Peculiar will release its a new album at a free benefit concert in support of the United Way, 8 November at The Merchant Tap House in downtown Kingston. The Peculiar opens at 9:30 p.m. at The Merchant House, 6A Princess Street, in Kingston, followed at 11:30 p.m. by Nadia Pacey of Konig. Donations for the United Way campaign 2017 will be accepted at the door.

“We’re excited to release the album in Kingston — the place British and I call home,” says Henry McGuire. “We are even more excited to have an opportunity to bring people together in support of the United Way. We know what a difference the United Way makes to people of all ages — and we truly stand behind the organization’s life-changing work with homeless youth.”

The concert follows a networking session of the United Way’s Next Gen, a group of young professionals aged 25 to 40 who are dedicated to bringing meaningful change to the community through their involvement with the United Way.

For X launch party 10 November in Toronto

To celebrate the release of For X, The Peculiar is hosting a private release party in Toronto with guests, The Girl and OVRKST. Doors open Friday 10 November at 8 p.m. There'll be live tunes and a bar. Bring your mates.
